graduation project

INSIDE MY HEAD

I Am A 3D Animation Graduate Student . The Topic That Has Always Interested Me Is How Difficult It Can Be To Explain Emotions. This Was The Inspiration For My Graduation Project. In This Virtual Reality Experience, You Will Be Taken On A Journey Through An Abstract Narrative Of Emotions, Using Symbolism And Music.

The Concept Is That You First Watch The VR Movie And Only Then Get An Explanation Of What It All Means. In This Way You Can Create Awareness Of How You See Emotions And How Someone Else Experiences Them.

In This Project I Did Everything From Making The Models To Editing In After Effects. I Took The Music From Pixaby To Edit It Again In Premiere.

what does it all mean ?

When someone talks to us about their feelings, we often have the tendency to project our own emotions and experiences onto their story. This can lead us to misunderstand them and not really look at them and listen. It’s important to keep in mind that everyone has one unique, emotional journey and that every perspective is different.

To convey this message clearly, I chose to make the head gray in the beginning of my story and only add color at the end. This symbolizes the abstract narration from one’s perspective perspective and shows what their emotional journey looks like. Breaking open and closing the head emphasizes that this is only one perspective and that there are many different ways to experience a situation.

So the next time someone shares their feelings with you, try not to project your own emotions onto them. Listen carefully to what they have to say and understand that their emotional journey is unique. By really listening to each other, we can show greater understanding and empathy for others, leading to better relationships and communication.

Anger can be an overwhelming emotion that sometimes pushes us to our limits. When we don’t deal with this emotion properly, it can make us eating it from the inside and sending us down a tunnel of anger and frustration and depression.

A symbol that fits perfectly with the emotion of anger is the snake. This animal represents both transformation and evil, which ties in seamlessly with how anger can increase when we don’t handle it properly. Our thoughts keep repeating themselves until we are eaten by our own anger. Because the snake ate you, you ended up in a tunnel that we keep racing through.

In this tunnel of anger we see glowing lava around us, symbolizing the intensity of this emotion. But just as lava cools, our feelings of anger can also subside when we learn to deal with it. Enlarged in this tunnel of anger, the Borage flower symbolizes rudeness and directness – something we often regret afterwards. It is important to learn how to express our anger effectively without hurting others or harming ourselves

Sadness is an emotion that we all have to deal with, but it often remains a taboo subject in our society. Especially with depressions and burnouts, there is still too little talk about it. It is important to be aware of this emotion and take time with it.

With the emotion sadness I chose that the face looks down while this neighborhood the expression slowly but surely becomes more and more sad. As this happens water comes up, you can think of this as the tears we shed when we feel so that we finally drown in it and see nothing more than our own sadness and our self disappears in the sadness.

Recognizing sadness as a normal emotion can also help break the taboo surrounding it. Let’s be open to conversations about mental health and support each other when needed. After all, everyone needs a shoulder to cry on sometimes.

From sadness we can find a moment of peace and acceptance within ourselves. From calm we look back on events and how we got there. We can then enjoy the peace and tranquility that there is at that moment outside the hectic world that we otherwise find ourselves under and outside. Nature is the place where most people come to rest. The wood creates the symbol of the Archangel Metatron. This symbol represents inner peace. Because we are taken along with the unveiling of the symbol, I try to show that rest is not something that just happens. It is something that arises and that you often only realize afterwards when you look back on your time in peace and tranquility that you have found.

When we are calm, we can experience joy and draw energy from ourselves and the circumstances that make us happy. Through a tunnel we are surrounded by symbols of joy.

The tulip symbolizes the sun in our smile, while the rose is connected to cheerfulness and can help us hold onto that positive energy. The Holly Hock (Alcea or hollyhock) represents ambition because having goals can also make us happy.

The Parrot symbolizes confidence and communication skills. Learning these skills can help us communicate and trust each other better, ultimately contributing to our well-being.

While being happy isn’t always easy, symbols can help us remember how to feel. Perhaps through better communication and trust we can also create more moments of happiness.

By using symbolic elements in the film such as flowers and animals, we can become aware of our emotions and how we can improve them to experience more happiness and joy in our lives.
